Event Info! Kids Clothing Swap on 5.21.2019

This event was canceled.

So, summer is right around the corner and some of our kids have added a few inches or cm to their height. You’re looking to shop but you want find other means to get clothing that’ll only be outgrown. Now, maybe you’ve got clothing stashed away but missed the season. Maybe your family is trying to follow a conscious lifestyle.

Well we are hosting a children’s clothing swap next week & it would be lovely if you can come. Too often many clothes are thrown away for various reasons and therefore a significant amount of clothing gets dumped in our landfills every year. Why not think of our clothing swap as giving your kids clothes a new life with someone else and then gain some awesome new ones for your kids, too!

Insider tip: Did you know that “organic” cotton can be achieved by clothing worn and washed many times over a period of time? It’s because chemicals are being washed out & the cotton is becoming softer.

For the swap, you neither have to bring anything nor take anything, but if you choose to bring in donations, please follow the guidelines below. **Unclaimed items will be donated to the Salvation Army**

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Wanna read a story? Run a circle time? Arrange a guest speaker? Do accounting? There are tons of ways you can lend a hand to keep the coop going! If you would like to join in our discussions about organizing and running the coop, we will gladly add those who have attended playgroup to our Coop Volunteers Discussion Group on Facebook. It isn’t searchable, so send us a message or email at cooperativeplaygroup12@gmail.com. Please note- advice is nice but we need HELP to actually keep the coop going. We do occasionally remove members from the volunteer discussion group who have become inactive or no longer attend playgroups.
