RECAP! Book Swap (2019)

January 29, 2019

What a success!!

The coop playgroup book swap event brought together over 40 families today! It was a delight to see familiar faces as well as lovely first time visitors to the playgroup. Our group wants to extend a very warm welcome to the moms, dads and even extended families who joined our playgroup this morning.

Sato opened our playgroup with circle time songs engaging all the little ones & their parent/caregiver(s). We even loved seeing the little crawlers get in on the fun.

During story time, Christine read aloud a lovely book titled “Guess How Much I Love You” by Sam McBratney. It’s a wonderful classic book that is loved by many.

After that, Katie announced the start of the swap. There was a wide range of books to choose from at the table. There were soft fabric books, board books for the babies, toddler paperbacks, a few classics, books written in a different language & some books for the adults.

Overall the book swap event turned out great. We hope that some of you walked away with some good books too. If there was anything you would like to add or comment about the swap event, please send us an email as we appreciate any feedback from our community of families.

We want to thank our book swap volunteers & all the coop volunteers for making this event a success! From set up to break down, thank you ladies for all your time & energy today! It was greatly appreciated.
